Sports data and odds supplier Abelson Info has secured the necessary license to offer its services in Peru.
The company has obtained a Service Provider License from the Peruvian Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (MINCETUR), allowing it to offer its Goalscorer Pricing & Settlement (GPS) service to operators active in the region.
The pricing division of Abelson Info, called Abelson Odds, already has a number of clients in the LatAm region, and this latest license will allow it to operate in the continent’s fourth most populous country. In Peru, football is also the most popular sport.
Recent months have seen a number of companies looking to take advantage of the relatively newly regulated market in Peru.
For example, EveryMatrix secured regulatory accreditation in the region back in March, while the likes of Betsson and Golden Matrix Group have followed in gaining a license in Peru during the course of 2024.
Abelson Odds COO Jeevan Jeyaratnam said: “We have always been happy to support our partners’ localisation efforts, expanding competition coverage to align with regional targets, and Peru is a perfect example of how critical specialist coverage can be.
“Our research shows that Peru’s Liga 1 dominates the country’s football betting market so, with our licence now in place, we’ll shortly be expanding to offer both live goalscorer and additional player prop. Markets.”
In other sports betting news today, WagerWire has announced that it plans on launching the buying and selling of fantasy entries within its app.
